Lead Has Finally Been Banned From Hair Dye

Lead is not something you want in your water, your food, or your personal care products. But until recently, the US FDA allowed lead acetate in one such product, a certain type of hair dye, on the basis of old studies that found it didn’t migrate from hair into the bloodstream. This week, they changed their mind.
