Streaming services have basically come full circle: What started as a cheap alternative to cable TV has become an expensive monthly cost in its own right, as price hikes and crackdowns on password sharing have made subscribing to multiple streaming services just as expensive, if not more so, than some conventional cable plans.
Luckily, there are often discounts, deals, and loopholes to exploit that can make streaming more affordable—and sometimes even free. Here are the best deals you can get right now on all the major streamers.
This month's best streaming deals
If you're a Hulu subscriber, keep in mind the Hulu+ Live (with ads) price will increase to $82.99 on Oct. 17, and to $94.99 for Hulu+Live (no ads).
The very best streaming deals right now are for Paramount+ and Peacock. You can get a choice of one month of any Paramount+ plan or three months of the Essential With Ads plan if you're a new or ex-subscriber (find the details in the Paramount+ section). You can also get $40 off an annual Peacock subscription (with ads or ad-free) with a promo code (find the details on the Peacock section). The Hulu—the Disney+/Hulu/Max triple bundle is last month's best deal and it looks like it's here to stay. You can save a significant amount over signing up for each streaming service individually.
